Sumie Kaneko performs “Lullaby of Takeda” (築田の寜あいうた) on koto. This ancient Japanese lullaby from the Takeda region of Kyoto is one of Japan's most beloved folk songs, arranged here by Sumie for solo koto. Its sparse, meditative melody evokes the sorrow and tenderness of a mother's song.
Also available on the album Dead of the Night (2016).
